Not too far off now Marc.

Just a case of getting the money together to get someone to paint it or find the space to paint it myself.

Having said that I didn't touch it for the whole of December so really need to get back on trying to get the doors to line up.

Sounds good, hope the doors line up soon and you get the time to get on it, I am the same with my projects at the moment just havent had the time to do anything on them which sucks, need to drag the clubby out soon and get him ready for MOT.... North west mini Centre in Glossop will give you a good price for paint, they collect and deliver also...

Managed to snatch a bit of time on the Van before going the football on Saturday.

Spent another good hour on the passenger door trying to get it to sit better, it's almost there now but I think I need to adjust the holes in the skin to move the door forwards.

Then went to fit the dizzy drive so that I can put the new Electronic Dizzy in the engine. Turns out, I think I might have the wrong dizzy for the engine as it doesn't want to go in far enough and the mount doesn't seem right either.

Here is the dizzy?

Also put the stub stack in the carb.

You have an A+ block and that Dizzy mount is for an A series. It ain't gonna fit...

Well good bit of customer service by Accuspark.

Just gave them a call to explain the error of my ways and even though it was months ago they will exchange it for the right one.

Luckily I'm in the area tomorrow so I can pop in.

Very good of them I thought.

Credit where credits due.

That is good service

Easy way to tell an A+ block from an A-series is extra stiffening ribs on it. Look at the bottom left hand corner of my block by the dizzy hole. Ribs :w00t:

Well I've spent about the last hour trawling through your topic. Loving Sal and the work, looking great.

Out of curiosity what yellow are you going with??

Thanks for taking the time to look.

It's a labour of love sometimes! It will be AA yellow hopefully over the next few months.

Woo-hoo! popped into the lads at Accuspark and I now finally have a dizzy that should fit.

Nice lads in there, one of them had a absolutely lovely opel manta running NOS and in bright orange.

Onwards and upwards.

So had a wuick test fit of the dizzy this afternoon while over the garage. Admittingly only just shoved it in as I only had 5 minutes but it still doesn't look right.

Do you normally have to wriggle them in?
