I just keep telling myself... On the last leg, the last leg!
I've also been talking to a few people I know about painting it so one step closer.

So my weekend in pictures....
Front end seam welded at the rear, it comes off nicely just a few bits left to do.
On.
Off.
Welded the front end latches onto some mounting plates.
Made a start on the step.
Legendary overlap method of attaching panels.
Then ran out of cutting discs so that's as far as I got with the step.
Noticed the crusty bits round the A panel. Yep, looks like that's coming off too.
Then got the filler out.
Smoothed off the dash centre for my custom rail.
Also went round and filled a few dents in the bodywork, front end and the load bed.
I will probably take the near side scuttle end off as well as its a bit messy and doesn't quite meet the wing.

The old fibre one that was on it before flapped more than my misses when she see's a spider!
Postie arrived with some more cutting discs today so heading over the garage tonight after work to attack the rear quarter, step and A panel.

Chopy chop.

Managed to cut the damn door frame to short. Hopefully it bridge with some weld.

Got the top hinge off ok. But the bolts in the bottem where well and truely rusted on.

Had to resort to drilling the bolts out from the hinge as i couldnt get the grinder in the back to cut the bolts off.

Then my drill went flat so i gave up for tonight.
I'll need to get a new near side bottem hinge as well now but it was knackered anyway.
Drills on charge for round teo saturday morning before the football.
I could do with a month off work to get it finished!

You know what you could be on to something there... Now just need to get rid of all the evidence on the the internet.
I've got next Friday, Saturday and bank holiday Monday to get it finished.
It needs to be painted by Christmas I've decided!!!!
