dam sal thats miles out..wings to front panel look about the same as mine was..i just went with lots of clamps and a little bend here and there..
i'm sure someone with have a better way to do it though..

I'm in the process of picking up a second hand bonnet that's fairly new.
I just need to check though does a 1982 van have the standard saloon hinge mounts at 1.25" in from the edge????
I think there's too types for the vans but as my van had a moulded one piece fibre front I don't know.

Can you not just look at the bulkhead on your van to see where the hinge brackets are?
I'm pretty certain that they are the ones that are on the ends of the bonnet but not 100%

just looked at one of your earlier photos and it appears that they are the later type.

However I had a look on minispares and it is the 1.25mm hinge type from 1971 onwards.

Not just nuts and bolds I spy a fuel pump and a thermostat lol looking great tho mate and scuttle is defo out front in will bash into place easy enough bud but I would get your bonnet sorted be for you weld anything as it could ad more problems

Its a oil filter mount as ive lost the one that came off the engine.
The next post might be of interest to people.....
