Doesn't the brake line go inside the front frame member? Maybe for some protection from getting crushed?
Nope, goes across the top as he has it

You can only try it and see how it goes then swap it out if need be not a big job. But I know what it's like to save 20 qwid for other things that are needed to get going

So yesterday finished up with...
Started to knock out and fill some of the many dents in the load floor.
Finally managed to get the pedals after having to grind the shear bolt off. Gave them a good soak in WD40 and will clean them up with a lick of paint.
Lobbed the steering wheel back on so its easier to turn the car if needs be.
Next comes some head scratching time..... The Front end!!!
So offered up my lovely new panel to the subframe.... Massive balls commenced!! Got to cut up my lovely new panel to get this flange off. I guess this would be where it welds to the inner wing normally.
Next i set about the bonnet pins and tear drops. As you can see above, I'd attached the tear drop mount to the front panel. However, it became apparent this wasn't going to work as the pin wouldn't go through the hole with it attached to the front panel. So i decided to attach the mount and pin to the subframe instead.
I now need to work out how to attach the clip. I think i will either weld it directly over the hole in the panel or make a disc of metal to fill the whole and weld it to that.
Then need to repeat it on the other side and should be able to fit the front.

Looks like the scuttle ends are going to have to come off too now. Luckily i have a pair in the garage.
Pictures to follow.
If anyone has any tips now would be an appreciated time to tell me them.
Had enough for today.
