Good question...

I wanted to stonechip the gavity under the sill so left it off so i can get to the sill stiffener and door step.

I ran a length of duct tape alone where the sill welds on to mask it off so it still bare metal underneath. You just cant make it out from the photo very well.

Once the outer sills on i'll cover it in stonechip too.

Make sense?

Ohhhh good idea!!!!

Trial fit of the outer sill....

Now....

I'm thinking of replacing the door step to side panel as it's chopped out a bit.

Should I wait to put the sill on until I've done the step or do you not think it matters?

I'd weld the sill on first, it will put a bit more strength back in to the shell before cutting out any more metal and will act as a datum.

Cool cheers.

Should I plug well or seam the bottom edge?

Any preference.

(I'm thinking seam as it would stop the water getting in under the sill)

It would save having to drill hundreds of blinking holes in it as well.
