i get all my bolts from westfieldfastners. much cheaper, all stainless and you can choose what grade bolt you need depending on what its used for:) you can get button head bolts aswell so everythings neater ;)

*Question of the day*
Been thinking about bonnets recently and which type fits the van...
Are van bonnets the same as say a mk3 saloon of a similar age?
I'm sure I read somewhere that the vans have slightly different mounts.
It's just that saloon bonnets are so much cheaper than a brand new van one I'm thinking of just getting a saloon one and cutting the lip off.

Think I just answered my own question as well.
For vans and pickups this had later type hinge positions 1.25" from the edge as per the saloon but did not have the extra lip for the bonnet upper grille moulding which was never fitted as standard---Mk1/2 variants had the hinges in a different position.
Taken from Minispares.
As you where!

Not at the moment Marc.
I've ordered some more gavitex which should be here by the end of the week so hopefully get the floor finished soon.
Just waiting to get paid again so I can but a big order in at M-Machine for the front end and a few other panels.
That SHOULD be the last panels I have to order though.
Then it will be a case of learning how to prep and paint!!!!
With luck anyway.

Cool sounds good so wont be long until its down on the floor and rolling again :) looking forward to seeing the front go on, u doing a fixed front now then? as i noticed that yours looks to be set up with brace bars etc..

Yeah should be a massive leap forward to say the least!
I'm going metal removable front and have an idea that should hopefully make it look like a normal front end bar bonnet pin latches on the front panel.

Be even better when I fit the braided front hoses and both the subby's again Garry.
My other bottle of Gravitex arrived in the post yesterday so I can finish off the stonechip and paint the rear end. Still need to weld the sills on though so the floor will have to wait for the moment.
When this will happen I'm not sure..... Having a bad time with the cottage we rent at the moment as it's leaking like a sieve from the roof and windows, so it looks like we will be out of there by the end of the month. So that's taking up most of my time and brain power trying to sort that. But on the plus side, it means unless we can find somewhere else, we might have to move back to my mums (where the van stored) so I will be closer to SAL! haha.
(Also means no more log burner Garry )
