Brings tears to my eyes when I dare to open the spreadsheet and look at what it all cost in the end to MOT pass stage.
I decided not to continue with the spreadsheet or add on any "extra's" after I got the old boy back on the road as that was my customising choices! LOL.
We all spend dosh on our Minis once on the road was my thoughts so why bump it up any further.

So went over the garage after work and made haste removing the over sill to uncover what lies beneath!!! And what a surprise.
Starting to peel back the layers.
Eye eye crusty pie.
Interesting inner sill.
Getting there.
Think this patch needs investigating.
What do you now three layers of inner sill.
And where I left it tonight. The rear speaks for its self with the new floor. But the front inner sill is going to need to come out and be cleaned up. Luckly it should just be a repeat of the other side.
Still not sure about the cross member and whether to take it out and start again as I have a full new one.

The more I look at the pictures of the cross member section the more I think I should just take it out as I have a new one.
Would I be better off doing it as one panel or cut and weld it at the tunnel?

Made new stiffener
Got about the best looking weld ive ever down towards the back of the plate. Shame it will never be seen.
Tacked floor
Starting to weld the seam. I thought the gap between panels was too big to start with but worked out well in the end. Strong as anything!
Plugged the stiffener plus some air holes.
This left to do.
Then more onto the inner sill at the front. Which currently looks like this.
