Hoping to get some more time on the off side this week.
But in other news........
Dan (myredmini) found himself with a load of old mini mags over the weekend and just so happened to find this in the classifieds!
May 2001 issue.
This must be about the time my mate bought it.

After posting the advert picture on Monday it would seem that I've managed to track down the last but one owner of the Van.
Hopefully they still have some info and possibly some pictures of when it was last on the road.

Been doing some bit and bobs over the last few weeks but nothing worth a picture. Mainly just clamping the step and A-panel in place making sure it lines up before final cut and weld. With the new step in place the A panel does fit a lot better though.
It's far to bloody hot in the garage at the moment though!!!! did some customization on Friday for an hour or so. But I looked like I'd just got out the shower by the time I'd finished welding.
This will be the base for the switch panel idea I have in my head.

Some more progress on Saturday.
Ground the dash rail down, still needs a few pin holes welding up.
Cut the door step down the size at the rear still need to do the front.
The inner sill is a mess so decided to cut it out and start again. Made this with my own hands I did!
Still needs trimming down to fit the floor though.

Dan that would be amazing if you would be so kind.
I've been trying to find a back issue with no luck though, I did have a load of old mags in my mums loft but she must of chucked them when the insulation was redone.
PM on it's way.

Just flicked through this. I was absolutely shocked to bits when I saw the state of the welding that you had done at that garage!
I'm glad to see you are working through it and mending the bodge work they did to it. I hope you didn't pay too much to have it done.
I shall follow this with interest matey.
Cheers
Ben

Not much been done of note in the last few weeks as I've been away but I've started to get on with welding the floor up.
Will update with some pictures once things start to look different.
