Will have a look Gadgets, only just got round to logging on since the weekend.

Slowly but surely Ryan, we will get that van meet this year. Hopefully!

Update for last night was that I finished off the welding on the rear door and skimmed over a few areas with some U-pol easy 1 filler. Then spent most of the night picking the filler off my fingers haha! bloody stuff get everywhere when it starts to harden. (Must get some surgical gloves)

No pictures though as my phone died while listening to Jake Bugg.... ;)

Tomorrow I will rub the door down ready to lay some etch on it Friday.

I better then move on to the big hole in the heelboard before doing the floor though.

Onwards and upwards.

Off-Topic update.

Need some support to try and get the powers that be to include a section in the projects area solely for vans/pickups.

make yourself known.

Cheers,

Matt

(will probably fall on deaf ears)

So after my crusade to get a LWB sub-section in the projects thread I thought it was time to update on what I've been getting up to off the forum.

I almost happy with the repairs to the door now and started filling some bits and bobs.

This section was a right git to do. Took me a while to work out how the get some metal back in to the hole.

Got there in the end by using a small strip of sheet and weld a bit, bend it, weld a bit, mend it some more then skim it over.

Quick skim over the bottom edge.

I've pretty much re built the hole bottom edge of the door on the inside - I'd of been easier to have bought a the repair panel for this but live and learn.

Final one with the new skin on.

Also started to fill the rear corner sections on the shell but finding filler work differcult to get flat at the moment so didn't take pictures till I'm happy with it.

I can get the code off the paint tin if it helps.

I can't remember but I think my yellow is a ford AA van.

All those saloon owners will be thinking "Filler and it will be fine"

Doesn't work for us Van owners, dents on the outside are visible on the inside, we aren't lucky enough to have door cards.
