Congrats for the 100th page post Venkman Thanks for taking the time to read my adventure. I've felt the same a number of times believe me!
It really does feel that it's getting to the end of the road now.

Few snaps from yesterday as photobucket wouldn't upload last night.
Dry run fitting the exhaust which took a bit of head scratching. I didn't realise you have to cut the centre pipe down to fit the LCB and couldn't for the life of me work out what I was doing wrong. Got there in the end though )
Single box RC40 on Standard LCB. Hopefully you should hear it before you see it!
Just needs unbolting again and refitting with sealant.
Before that though I got the fuel pump bolted in. Just need to get some hose and run a wire to the front to attach a 30 amp relay.
Then made a template for the switches and cuff off. Good job I did! as you can see my measuring is crap!
Also dropped the windscreen rubber in ready for the screen.
My battery cable should arrive mid week so the next job is to lay that... Getting closure to trying to fire it up.

Looking good.
Note taken on fog lamps as I would have done the same.
Here goes the stupid questions.
Why electric fuel pump?
Do you have to run a return if not do you have to regulate the delivery pressure?

As far as I'm aware electric fuel pumps feed the fuel at a more constant rate over mechanical pumps. You're also less likely to get fuel seepage into the oil from a knackered seal.
I'm sure it probably has little advantage on a mild tune road engine but every little helps I guess.
Some run with fuel regulators some without. I will run it with a couple filters to start and see how it goes.
Ordered some more parts this morning so hopefully they turn up by the weekend.

5 metres of battery cable arrived yesterday just waiting on the terminals and it will be time to get the van some power.
Just hope my 13 year old battery is still good or might have to buy a new one.
Another question I thought of is what oil should I use for the running in period?
Do I use decent stuff straight away even though I will change the oil after a few hundred miles running it in.

I ran my 1000 in on mineral oil for 100 miles or so then went on to Mobil 1
Ozz who did the tricky bits of the rebuild said it would not bed in if the good stuff first.

That's what I thought. Didn't really want to spunk 40quid on oil for it to be replaced after a few hundred miles.

Interesting thanks MM but equally as expensive as the specific classic oil.
I not just run it in on standard 15w-40 castrol that you can get on offer in ASDA?
