Holy thread bump batman… guess who's back! Well I’m still going at the resto.
Not a lot has happened in the last 2 years the vans mostly been sat under a cover apart from running it up now and again. However, a couple months ago I drove it up the road and when I got back noticed that it was leaking oil quite a lot still. Last weekend we had the engine out and the crank seal was toast!! this has been changed now and no more leaking!
there also seems to be some weeping from the head gasket with water bubbles so that is going to have to come off and be changed next.
It also needs a good tune up as the mixure is all over the place, flat spots and bogs down when you accelerate...
Heyho, it finally feels like it's getting almost road worthly now though.
I also seem to have lot all ability to post images!

Yep... that was the reason for taking the engine out....
Popped in an uprated clutch plate while I was at it.

So update is that I manage to fix the oil leak with a new crank seal… whoop
However, the heads weeping a little water now! So will need to take the head off and replace the gasket.
Also, swapped the needle from ADS to BCE to see if it will run better. Messed around with mixture but its clear that I’m no carb tuner.

Just checking you know, but those needles aren't compatible with each other unless you change the jet:
ADS is a 0.090" jet
BCE is a 0.100" jet
