as topic says really i just want to know if metro seat belts fit straight into a mini thanks
Metro ones don't. They have a bar which the end of the belt is looped around rather than the mounting that the Mini has. Looks like all the other bits would fit but they won't go straight in because of the bar.
My belts were off an MG Metro, think an old Y reg, not sure if things were different in any other models...

The rear inertia reel belts from a Metro will fit into the front of a Mini without much trouble. You'll need the right bits in the middle for the belts to clip into.

It also varies from Mini to Mini. The seatbelts were bought from different suppliers so although things like mounting brackets and lengths were specified to suit the Mini the catches and fittings were off-the-shelf parts from the seatbelt manufacturer. I've got a set of belts from a Sierra with the same catches as an '80's Mini so obviously at that point Ford and Austin Rover were getting their belts from the same supplier.
