The shell is now completely stripped, going to phone about getting it sandblasted at some point this week. I already have the metal to repair all the holes that i keep finding so hopefully i'll have a solid shell with roll cage welded in within a month then the rebuild really begins!

im doing the 2.0 litre 8v conversion to the van! needing a subframe!

Yea welders sorted now thanks Al, got a new gun assembly after work on friday.

Allspeed are probably the best place for frames, try 16vforum/shop though.

This football thing keeps holding up the work, i'm not really that much into football but you just have to support your country!

I've now got the scuttle fitted, sorted out where the fuel tank and pump mount fits, armoured up the heel board to add strength for mounting the beam axle to, welded up some of the body seams in some of the more important points. I've also made a mount for a rear tow eye, it'll bolt to where the original rear subframe rear mounts go.

Most importantly, i've spent more money and bought a digital dash for it.

Pics will be added at a later date, may host them in photobucket or something from now on.

I dont like to think about that! A lot, mainly because i keep buying special bits and pieces that arent needed but just make it a bit more different.

I've kind of come to the realisation that it wont be ready for bh2n, end of the day its not worth rushing, i may as well get the shell to a completely solid and super stiff state before painting it.

I'll be fitting mine to pick up off a rear drum. Fit the magnet to the outer lip of the drum and mount the sensor off the back plate, just got to the work out the right figure to put in the dash to configure it right. Might be worth asking on 16vforums to see if anyones done it yet and what figure they used etc.

My carbon dash and fibreglass doors should be delivered tomorow, hope someones home to sign for them! Plus i've ordered a load of tube to make a roll cage, which should be here friday/monday.

You should just need to put the tire circumference in as it will just multiply that by how many revolutions it detects.
Will be doing this at the weekend most likely.

Yea, should be something like that. I had another electric speedo, proper gauage type which was a little more complex, this one does seem simple enough.
