Arghh i see a digital dash. What made you choose one of those? Did you not like the normal dials?

It was on ebay quite cheap so i had to have it! Lol, its also easier to set up than trying to get a mini speedo to work correctly with a vauxhall speedo drive cable set up etc. It also looks good and has everything in a nice compact little unit instead of spread about on the dash!

I'm toying with the idea of using mk1 hinges/latches etc instead of the originals as it looks like it'd be easier to mount the fibreglass doors on mk1 hinges. Just been pricing everything up on minispares and its coming to quite a lot though, and i cant find mk1 latches on there. Any ideas??

What induction system are you using? I hear the X16XE one fits but is restictive.

Yea, very restrictive. I'll be looking at using the standard intakes at first and then maybe go to tb's. It all depends on the finances at the time really, still got to get all of that yet so i'll wait and see what turns up.

Mark, the minispares site doesnt list any seperate for the metro callipers, but i ordered the other type from them and they are too big for my callipers. I've pm'd simon anyway. Thanks

No, lol, they are the mounting bolts, that i do also need to get (top link). I need to find the correct size bleed nipples first so i can order the lot at the same time.

After managing to pick a C16XE bottom end for free I too have decided to go sown the X/C16XE route too. Im looking at poping into Allspeed on Saturday if Robs open to order my kit. Wouldnt mind coming to visit you still Marc to see how your getting on and discuss some ideas.

Also do you know if Rob sold his SBD throttle boddies at all?

Got another question for you. Why do you have to move the selector box back, can't you just shorten the linkage?

I'd phone Rob first to see if he's working, might be but not always. And if he is selling the tb's i want!!! Lol. I could do with some inspiration so pop over if your near.

The gear selector can go pretty much anywhere you want, as long as its in a straight line etc. Tom moved his back from where the standard a series gear lever is as it makes it much easier to use, brings it closer to where your sitting etc. The linkage will still have to be chopped about where it is now, i havent done it to get out of that, just for comfort and ease of reach etc.

Thats ok. The engines rebuilt and sat waiting to be put in. If you find a xe inlet and wiring loom/ecu let me know! In need of one, there are loads at my local scrappy but its just a pain removing it all. I'm getting far too lazy!!

Note to self, get on with it!!!!! :)
