I want to fit a second engine earth strap - can I run it between to horn bracket behind the grille and the bracket on the engine which holds the alternator on?
Would this affect the electrics of the alternator in any way?
My engine bay is so full of air conditioning gubbinry I can't access any other places to attach it!!
Thanks for any advice...

Wouldn't be a great place. Can you not get below the engine, from the gearbox to the subframe?

It's to ensure that you have the best possible earth connection - belt and braces, I guess - but having an extra engine earth has often helped solve electrical issues (including battery drain, which is why I'm doing it).

Old car I had it from the thermostat housing to the plate that covers the wrong side drive pedal box hole.
Current car has a second from the bell housing to the inside of the wing.
