Nice work. I used the electroysis method of de rusting, but read about the phosphoric method too. I take it the acid does not damage the material, or do you have to keep an eye on it ?? I remember putting wheel nuts in vinegar and coming back to no nuts lol.
Great ebaying by the way !!

hahaha yup the same.... well the last year has been mad. Me and the mrs have had a baby. Been working hard for a premotion etc etc
well i was well up for mitp and couldnt get there due to bad weather so have been on here again looking at everyones projects, so i went and rolled the mini out the garage with intention to do some update worthy stuff... well i only stripped a few bits out ready to remove engine....but i took pics.......
so yea not much but i did label the wires too.......
well expect more updates now as i want a solid shell for mitp 2015......well one can hope

Filler in the seam prob to hide the fact its wayyyy out....
and prob way out because for 1 the tear drop is bust and wonky...
and 2 the inner arch is miles away from the wing......
also i had to remove this awful bonnet pin.....
but when poking around, the bulkhead seams solid, even scraped where i thought was bad and bubbled up but seams ok...
will know more when i get a day off and get engine out and twisted knot wire wheel grinder on the lot....
not much but not bad for an hours work......also removed gear linkage and wiper motor and assembly :) just driveshafts now and i can lift her out;)
