Making a center console thing for the car will be covered in black leather

Covers in black leather now all ready to e fitted

Iv binned the idea of the center console I made don't fit as good as wanted so bought my mate custom console one off him bran new £60 so couldn't moan at that just waiting for rubber gearstick gaitor then I can fit carpet back in and center console

Engine wise I'm waiting to buy my med itch set up Monday heavy duty pressure plate and bonded and riveted ap clutch disc
Then I can send that to machine shop with flywheel to e lightened an balanced. Other than that all my engine is done ready to bolt up

But next payday next month I can order up my sccr clubman gears from Minispares along with gearbox recon kit and x pin diff .my mate is guna do my box for me for a drink so that's sweet as then I can order my cam kit xt profile from med will come with oil pump,valve springs,cam , vernier pulleys, followers, so at least I can put my engine together and put it in the car

picking up my engine today then next on list is to buy my med st3 clutch and flywheel

Picked engine up engine today time to start doing all the clearances and building it :)

Took engine to my mates garage hotwashed my gearbox ready for rebuild hotwashed the block and cleaned out all thebbolt holes with a thread restorer .ordering my main bearings and big ends etc tomorrow so I can start bolting it up

Fitted all my acl main cap bearings and thrust bearings today and fitted my crank shaft up just need to check end float and they time to fit pistons and camshaft kit up then the fun times of cam timing etc

Forgot about these pics back from machine shop pistons fitted with arp conrod bolts









Cleaned all the bolt holes with a thread cleaner and stuck it in the hot wash for a bit along with my gearbox ready for the sccr gears to be fitted xpin diff and rebuild kit





Done ring gaps all at 12 thou top middle and bottom
All oil and water galleries cleaned out in block and water ways cleaned out in head

All ready for buying my cam and doing cam timing and crank end float

Also as seen cleaned all the block but its like its rusty I don't know why and I think it needs re honing as there is a bit of surface rust some how in the top of the bore

2 weeks till I can buy my cam kit from med and my sccr gear kit , rebuild kit and diff

On order tomorrow is my piper xt cam kit , x pin diff , gearbox rebuild kit and evo clubman straight cut gear set

Got all my sccr gears , x pin diff , bearings gaskets water pump , piper xt cam , vernier timing gear , steel backed oil pump , cam followers , valve springs,auto to manual engine mounts , subframe poly bush kit , center oil pick up pipe .

Picking up my engine from bill Richards tomorrow cam timing done , CR properly worked out CR is now at 11.1 and gearbox all built up with a 3.44 final drive

All I need now is the correct piston rings because med kindly sent me a mixture of 1293 and 1380 rings
