Change of plan again sending engine away in may / June to bill Richards racing

Spec below

Engine is a 1380 offset bore
Piper 285 cam
Ultralight flywheel
Orange clutch
x drilled wedged and nitrided crank
Arp bolts all round
Straight through pipe
Fully polished ported head with 30ml exhaust and 36 ml inlet valves ,double valve springs 11 stud
Omega cast pistons 7cc dish
151 rockers
vernier timing gear
Center main strap
And straight cut drops
Oil cooler
Alloy rad
Electric ignition
Facet solid state fuel pump

Carb is still under a good thinking lol either twin 1/1.5s or a weber 45

Sweet, I'm soon going to be getting a 1275 myself and wanted to do that with it. What will I have to do? I only have basic knowledge about it. All I know is I gota bore it and get pistons :/ could you explain what I have todo, also how much did it cost? Thanks dude :)

Well to be fair depends how far you wuna go and how deep your pocket is

What will the car be used for

And I just bought a 1275 engine stripped it down found the gearbox was shot so that being rebuilt has taken me a while as I'm still an apprentice all you need is send your engine to machine shop get them to fit pistons to rods best to get some arp head bolts and conrod bolts ( there updated )

A Center main strap fitted to block takes stress and woo out of the Center of the crank
You can run a standard crank but I think it's best to get an up rated one
Have some work done on your head or bigger valves and gas flowed ( big improvement)

And to be fair I bought a head wich was heavily modified and got that cheap had it checked over and didn't need rebuild so in total that owes me £155
Pistons £310
And all the work from bill Richards ie rebore ,main strap etc is around £500-600

Best thing is do loads and loads of re search ring a local machine shop and have a chat or depends we're your from like if you near a mini spares , mini sport , med engineering etc ring and have a chat to them and see what they recommend

Sorry I can't help much more than that it hard to explain a lot on the net via typing lol
