If no where does it state the fitting method required, or ask you to read terms and conditions, then damage or problems arise because of that, they are at fault and your consumer rights (distance selling act comes into this too) mean you are entitled to a full refund! Also, they must be fitting them with lifetime tyres as to my knowledge tyres need replacing every now and then.
'Sir, your tyres are all bald'
"Sorry Officer, I can't take them off because the only place in the country that can fit me new ones is 3 hours away"

not gonna wash! I'd speak to citizens advice mate and keep pushing for your money back
Phone calls, emails, letters to the highest management until they literally get fed up of you and give you your money back!
But don't be rude!! >_<

Yeh thats not going to be the end of it I will be fitting the wheels and tyres tomorrow and getting a good feel for them before I do any serious driving, im having second thoughts on fitting them at all hearing these horror stories? I don't think they could have heated them up before fitting them as they seemed to do it pretty quick, but I am going to be relentless in my work to get such a duff company to straighten up their act, magazines will be informed of my dealings with this company (not that they would print them like) and all avenues of authority are going to be informed I will e keeping everyone posted.

i fitted a new set of midland wheels to my old mini and crashed it, making it a writer, within 3 miles of them being fitted, something went bang and it yanked sharply to the left, before spinning and crashing, i dont know wether it was a tyre letting go or a ball joint failing (as the balljoint couldve sheared whilst crashing), so i cant really point a finger and say for definate, but im definately suspicious. again, i cant confirm a faulty wheel/tyre to be the cause.

Can I ask what style wheel you had? and dimensions? I'm worried now lol

Cheers
Craig

feel for you mate, something id like to point out tho,

a few weeks ago there was a tread on ashley james interiors and people moaning about thier prices, ashley james then came online to answer any questions and set the record straight, (which is brilliant)

so where is MWS? i think they have some explaining to do...

I certainly will never be buying anything from them again. Cheap nasty rubbish, and even worse customer service.

Hope the tyres work out mate :)

cheers for all the comments guys, got the wheels on today regardless of my problems they do look good, however I am very dubious of how long they will last. Any how I will keep posting about them, going to start and explore avenues to go down like trading standards etc so people don't have to go through the same rubbish I have.

I have heard their name being bad mouth'd by the ford and dub community aswell, mainly from wheels corroding, but nearly all wheels with a polished laquered rim are going to corrode if you dont wax them but thats beside the point.

I also read another story about this "Manager" at a mini show, throwing his weight around and showing people up apperently. The car scene doesn't need people like this, but what makes these people keep on trading are the people who buy their products, if we was to boycott their products they would start to feel the pinch.

Im quite shocked to read his comments about this forum. End of the day, forums can make companys and break them just as quickly.

Maybe someone should kindly send him this link for him to have a read and call us stupid?

Cheers for everyone taking note, I just believe like the member above everyone reading this and deciding not to give them business is a smart move and in the long run money saved. Keep up the word and people will be put off using companies like this!

Hi all
I have been buying mini spares since the 70’s
And tried them all, some companies still around others long gone.

I find if its cheap than more often or not its crap,
Always if possible buy the genuine
As to customer care, it at the top of my list when I am looking for parts
Is it in stock and when will it arrive are my first question

If it arrives bent or broke, I want it replaced free of charge
With no ifs or buts, if not I move on,

These days there are loads of mini spares companies to choose from
If you do buy a duff item then if you paid by card ask for a refund
And stop the payment.

Try not to get angry on the phone it will not help

John
