Hi All

The brake pedal on my 1989 Mini Flame is sticking when i push down on it. When i push it down the piston pushes the pads out into the disk as it should however when i release it the pedal stays in the same position and the brakes stay locked so im thinking its the piston causing the problem

Any ideas?

My 1990 Mayfair was doing the same thing. I found that after braking the barkes were sticking on, but if I put my foot under the brake pedal I could flick it up and release the brakes, so I put my issue down to a sticking pedal. Greasing the pivot didn't make much difference so I've temporarily lashed up a return spring to brake pedal.

It will be the pedal sticking on the rod. You'll need to take the whole thing apart and clean it all up.
