I've got one of ministorms engines and even with the old charger at 9psi I tripped slarks dyno due to wheel spin at definatly over 200bhp, On the hand held devise it showed 225.

That was with a shot of NOS

That's good going mini23, on 9 psi mine hardly reads on the rollers lol.

Yes Jims motor is a real weapon, I didn't realise he had got over 200 well done, can't say I'm surprised, as its got all the right parts on her :-D

jammy, I've just spoken to "Ruggy" He said he can thing of any thing above that thats still A series.

Old thread revival, but with regards to twin turbos:

Most twin turbos are like what people have said, two smaller turbos to provide quicker spin up. They can be replaced with one mahooosive turbo to get higher top end power and higher speed but you forfeit acceleration as the bigger turbo takes an aaaaage to spin up.

The new Porsche twin turbos use two stage turbos (but I believe a lot of tuners have been using them for quite a few years), where a smaller turbo is used in lower revs then it switches to the bigger turbo once there's enough revs to get that spinning. This allows for a more even spread of power, and better performance.

Could you not have a smaller turbo 'turboing' a larger turbo? Or am I just being silly! :)
