Sounds interesting as i have no local RR so i want to try it.
I definately have to look for it in the app store for iphone 4 (and re-weight my car as i've lightened it further ).

Yes do, it is very nicely put together and the more people who start using it will give a better idea of what performance people cars have against the specs/parts that they are running. Obviously the human element may let it down a little but we all try our best!

The original 850 Mini with 34 bhp took around 26 seconds for 0 - 60. The 998 took around 15 to 16 secs with it's 55 bhp. A 1275 'S' with 75 bhp took about 11 secs.
Of course, an 850 did not weigh as much as the Coopers did.

yes wel that time for the 850 is about right as my 850 has 38bhp (rolling road proven) and it does it in about that time, but its quite spritely up untill 45lol

It's interesting that the 850 was lively up to about 40. It was, of course, low geared with a 3.76 final drive ratio and compared to later Minis very light. The acceleration fell off sharply as soon as aerodynamic drag increased and the power was not there to mitigate it in accelerative terms. Remember, the drag increases as the square of the speed, so the drag at 60 is 4 times the drag at 30, which is why a 1275 'S' with 75 bhp doesn't go at twice the speed of an 850 with 34-ish. That's over-simplification, but you get the point I trust.

Just interested to know what Power, Weight & 0-60 time people's cars are? (or the cars of others -if you know the stats!).

The key questions are:

1. Model (state if standard or modified)
2. Peak Bhp
3. Weight (1000kg = 1 Tonne)
4. Bhp/Tonne
5. 0-60 time (if you know it)

For all stats it would be useful if you can state:
Est - Estimated
RR - Bhp as measured on Rolling Road (at Flywheel -not at wheels)
WB - Weigh measured on a weighbridge/scales

I don't know any stats for my Mini except that it is highly modified and produces 100Bhp

Model: Mini Se7en 998cc
Peak BHP: 98.6 @ 9500 RPM and still climbing on Dyno... dont like to go higher than 10000 RPM
Weight: 590Kg on Corner weighting scales, I think thats 167 BHP / Tonne
0-60: unknown... willing to give it a go sometime but would have to use the RPM and gear ratio as I dont have a speedo
