Sweet! Love that stage, a freshly blasted frame looks mega sexy
May possibly have bought another bike at the weekend :) Beautiful vintage Dawes Super Galaxy, in great condition too.

What to do.....

Get some photos up and get it on the road :(

Yup shouldn't be long! Then I can start to prep and paint it. Need to angle grind off the lugs for the brake & gear cables etc.. make the frame nice and smooth.

As requested : http://www.theminifo...howtopic=192867

I'm already using the new one as a daily commute, it's a lot nicer having a bike that fits!!

I had those exact same battery lamps on my Raleigh Arena back in the late 70's. I bought the bike new in June 1977 when I was 12!

Everyone did & none of them worked

So if I'm running fixed I will lock my legs up to stop, or if I'm running free wheel I can coast and use the front brake to stop.

It'll end in tears.

Can you still get tubular tyres? Sticking them on was fun

Nah they are Quando large flange hubs with sealed adjustable bearings.

Picked the frame from blasting yesterday, will upload some photos when I get a primer coat on it.

Nice wheels >_< I pulled my fix out earlier and gave it a bit of a service. Not that theres much to service! After riding geared for a while it feels weird being back on it!

I have a front brake fitted still for when I'm tired or in emergencies, but for the most part its easy and controlled to just slow down using your legs. With spds theres no real issue with losing contact while doing it :goaway:

Got the frame back from blasting, so it's sat in my room sitting on the wheels and with the drop handlebars resting in place, but it'll have to take the back burner for a bit as I'm concentrating on the mini now!

Plus I've picked up this, it's my summer transport in and out of work everyday!
