Have finally got round to rebuilding the subframes and cleaning the engine We have stripped the clutch out today and can confirm that it is totally shot!! The main cause is the primary gear oil seal leaking that then transfers onto the clutch face.

We will replace the oil seal and clutch assembly, we also noticed that the engine is absolutely covered in oil, mostly from a leaking rocker cover gasket and tappet chest covers, gonna clean the engine down, replace these gaskets as well as the common failing oil seals, namely, diff end cover seals and gearchange seal.

Mini's dont ya love em.

Been to the garage this morning and they are far more ahead then i thought, Subframes are built up and fitted with new adjusta ride kit, engine has been cleaned and repaired as well as the clutch, quite suprised to find out the engine block is actually yellow, always thought it was painted black, lol just goes to show how repulsively dirty and oily it was, electric loom and wiring is back in and being all hooked up, feels like things are really moving on now, just can't wait to get him back on the road
