We'll not mention the early morning test run then

Cheers for your assistance mate. Turned out to be a blown fuse. The must be a short somewhere but it seems to have gone.

Almost done. Mini now has an mot. Been out on a few test runs and seems good exept it won't pull over 6000rpm, I think down to the furling needing setting up on lynx ae rollers hopefully later this week.

Pulled the engine out over the weekend to fit the Barnett clutch upgrade although the standard clutch seemed to be coping ok thought best to change having read other peoples comments.

Modified the radiator ducting and fitted so should help with the running temp.

Still a few minor tiding job left and ideally take a mold from my modded bonnet and make a one peice lighter version.

Fresh update.

Took it to lynx ae on Saturday got the fueling sorted on the rollers and the corner weights setup runs like a dream now and god is it quick. Car weighed in a 500kg dead so well happy with that.

Have tested it for about 150 miles and all seems good temperature is reasonable stable around 85 degrees, does rise to 95 when flat out but hopefully a few tweaks will drop the temp further.

Gearing wise so far I'm getting 64 mph in first and about 87mph in second, would be good to get some feedback from the promotive guys on what temps and gear speeds you are getting.

I have been told that lynx will have pricing details on the website today and I have seen that most of the parts for the kit are in stock, I think he is working on 6 weeks time and he will have kits ready to go.

My next jobs, fit an accusump to aid oil pressure and an oil cooler for the track, refine cooling system and hopefully If funds allow fit lynx ae awesome quick shift kit.

I think the pricing is very good on the basis that it included an ATB plus a baffled sump plate.

ive got to say the conversion looks very good, like its ment to be in there.
back in 2008 it was a toss up between this one and a watsons honda conversion for my race mini, as this wasnt completed at that time i stupidly went for a honda engine, huge mistake one which i have to live with.
looking at this make me want another mini.

The Lynx site says you took your car down the strip. How did you get on then?
