Inch and a half.
My neighbor gave me mine, its on a 3/4 drive adapter.1-1/2" would be a bolt.....
And if it is the bolt then yes the washer does come straight off...
The large nut on the end of the flywheel .... well clutch plunger is 15/16" AF as is the flanged nut underneath...
Verto flywheel bolt is 30mm...................
Oops .... yes the Verto flywheel bolt is 30mm
In almost 30 years I have never had to cut a flywheel off......
If Carlsberg made flywheel pullers they still wouldn't be as good as our own make
Out of interest anyone who would be interested in a super strength flywheel puller then PM / email me ......

Tentioned the puller up to a reasonable amount then applied heat to the area surrounding the crankshaft mating surface for about 10 minutes. As the heat built up and the metal started to expand I carefully tightened the puller down a little more bit at a time until the flywheel came away.

Finally I gave it a huge belt with the hammer and off it came. The key is perseverence. I got a bit close to grinding it off, but didn't want to admit defeat. It's all back together now and running fine.

I am looking to buy a puller but the claimed mini puller is a lot more expense. The concern is that the bolts won't fit as they are metric.
Please help as I don't want to buy twice.

Thanks for the feedback
There price for the general puller is £10 to give you an idea but I am unsure the M10 or M8 bolts supplied with it would work.

That 10 pound general puller will not work. The price says so

I’m sure you've read the many threads on here (including this one) about just how difficult flywheels can be to remove. Having done so, do you honestly think a £10 tool will be up to the job, correct bolts or not?
Also - that ‘general’ puller is a harmonic damper puller - these are generally a good engineering fit on the crank but essentially are just a sliding fit. This is quite different to the taper fit if a flywheel which requires considerably more force to ‘break the taper’.
