i made a block that is the same angle as the sill where my roll cage fits and jack it up on them, i have drilled holes into it so it doesnt slip and can locate on to the rollcage bolts.

its brilliant and will never buckle or bend the floor:) if you have a roll cage i would definatly advise this:)

Hi, I use two jacks, one on each side of the subframe. Then use two long planks of wood running down the length of the car to spread the load on stands.

I think you'll find that the subframe is plenty thick enough without the added plating.

Stick a small plank of wood between the jack and the subframe to prevent damage to the paint & help spread the load and you'll be fine..

Yeah i always put chocks of wood on the axle stands, better safe than sorry!
