[TITLE OF ITEM FOR SALE HERE]
Condition: needing repair
Price: £350
Location: Kidsgrove, Stoke On Trent
Due to the fact Im now going to be a dad, due in september  over the foookig moon
This means the mini collection is to go not just for money but also space and time of which ill have none soon enough, so i have a 79 clubby estate to go, a fully caged ad lightend race shell, quite sold 87 city and then offcourse this Midas, ideally needing to be gone this week
The car for sale is 83 A reg Midas Bronze coupe
1) An interior of sort
2) A pair of rear quarter windows
3) A bonnet
4) A tailgate which from what i lead to believe is single construction of a piece of glass with lift ram attachments, again im thinking of making out of Perspex, this time industrial Polished stuff about 10mm thick for rigidity around the seals
5) A pair of bumpers
6) A carb which IF i keep the A series in there i can source a carb easy enough, i have a HIF38 sitting somewhere :?
its straight and true and all pretty original, only two fibre cracks noticed the rest is just gel coat age/heat cracking
2 problems that we noticed upon checking it at service station on way back
1) the rear wheels are bolted up against the rear shocks, the bodging monky who owned it before was convinced it was hard to roll "as the brakes have rusted due to been standing" , yeah right....
It was parked up next to my phase 1 and covered untill i had more time.... its been there ever since unfortunately
After Many helpfull emails on here from a few people i got offered a pair of door shells from the main man himself for a perfect price so off i went to blackpool to collect them
so it has these with it which are gettig quite rare if almost non existent now
then another part it needed which is quite a rare part from what ive seen - a Fiat 126 windscreen so it has this aswell.
I also have for sale at extra, Denim Blue full leather Audi TT front seats AND the rear seats which i think could be made to fit quite nice in the rear, also have the front doorcards and 2M of Alcantara brought to do the headlining etc in
im gonna advertise the midas on here for a few days as i dont want to turn it into an ebay car, its a straight, propper reg example and with someone with the time and patience i dont imagine it would be that hard to do so if interested, contact me on here or call or txt 07595 155 623

i always believed it was a mk1 due to the insert bumpers same as yours in the sig, the fact it uses the a+ in mini frame rather than metro and couple of other things???

All Midas mk1-3's used A Series engines, in a Mini subframe. The mk1 was pretty much all Mini based, the popular donor model was the 1275gt. The mk2 was pretty much metro based, and used various metro components such as the dash etc.
The easiest way of telling a Mk2 is looking at the windscreen, as it will have an air duct in front of it. They also have wider, different profiled wheel arches, along with different front and rear sections, with the indicator/fog units incorporated into the bumpers, rather than slung underneath.
My signiture will confuse, as my dads Midas has a mk2 bonnet, as early on in its life (28 years ago) it had a front end bump, so a replacement bonnet was needed, and was then painted black, instead of the original gel coat.
Good Luck with the sale!
