Looking at your pic's showing the vented Disc's mounted on the subframe it looks like you may have the discs on the wrong sides. You need to spin the brake dust away from the hub via the disc grooves as they drive forwards if that makes sense.
That is not entirly correct. The grooves in the disc has nothing to do with brake dust. Grooves are there to reduce pad glazing. What you said hold true for a vented disc that has a backwartd shaped vane in the center, but then that is for cooling. On these discs the vanes for cooling are prependicular to the center of the disc so these discs can be run in either direction. As the are now they will just "clean" the pad more aggresively than when they are the other way around.
I know Lourens probably just did this without even thinking about it or knowing the differance but I have done extensive research about it for my previous car and that is the short answer.
by the way Lourens your car is going to slow. I will probably be done with my supercharger kit before you even o to paint.
Otherwise it looks good, maybe a little gay.

Thanks for that. Do the doors then have the inner "latch" like the later Mini's to lock and unlock the door?

He doesn't have pockets or any other funny bits which is funny cause when he bought the car everything was original bar one door handle that looked like it came out of a mustang.
Do you want normal doors?

Jared, the doors Lourens has is like the 1275E orr more modern doors.

I'm just attempting to try and find a pattern with the doors. I have noticed that on the '69 and some '70 models, the doors are like mine. But at some stage the doors changed because of rattles etc. that were experienced. So I'm just trying see when the change over was. And no, I very much like and value the doors I have, they aren't so easy to find.

Been busy over the weekend with the rear subby...
Did some assembly on it, but it looks like I will be taking everything apart again tonight.

Here are some pics...

I will update tomorrow on tonight's progress.
Cheers.
