To repeat what others say. A RR session is very wise move when doing performance mods to your engine, setting a car up on idle is just that, you aren't really altering the fueling through the rev range and under load conditions which involves re-profiling the needle. But a car can be tuned without. If your running megajolt or any other form of mappable ECU with data logging functions and have a decent wideband lambda sensor and AFR gauge, if you have the time and patience you can set your car up yourself on the road.
After my rolling road session my engine made 110bhp and 97lb/ft of torque (@ flywheel) before it was in the region of 80 odd bhp, so it is worth the money IMO.

It wouldn't take much driving to recoup the cost in better mpg these days. Also, any standard Mini built to run on leaded fuel now has compromised engine tuning.
Even so it can be very expensive, or a wasted trip, if they aren't able to fully set up your car because it has worn or faulty components, and adjusting mechanical ignition will be fairly crude without a lot of work. If the car runs anything like, a decent operator should be able to profile the existing needle. Get them to plot the correct advance curve & you can work on that after the session with just a timing strobe & rev counter.
I thought of Minimaster, not realising it's an old thread, looks like their site is still shut but there is a contact email addy you could try.

There is a guy near me who has a mobile Rolling Road in a truck, he knows nowt about engines though, he just gives you your BHP.
I must get him to set it up at shows and stuff because he doesn't use it very often.

Even tough RR session is a must for a Mini, it is worth only if the operator really knows how to set up A series engines.
Many of them just try to achieve the higher BHP figure at top end, letting the engine run very rich.
At this point it could better to do a long journey to go at a reputable mini-minded RR than having a session at a local one if they dont know what they're doing.
