Looking very good apart from the big red blemish, will it polish out?
I'm sure plenty of G3 will remove that big red stain!!!!!!

So far but what will either make it or break it is sunshine, when we get some that is.

So the old saying goes "things happen in threes" well that struck today.
First, kerbed the crap out of one of my wheels on my CC. Gutted and had to do a quick tidy up (will need a professional job later)
Secondly, colour sanding the first door and found the paint was thin in patches, Balls
Thirdly, yup the other door has the same issues
So guess who's back to painting tomorrow.

Well both doors got another 3 coats and all appeared to be good apart from a couple of minor runs.
And the door with the runs colour sanded and mopped, before
After
So that came up really well, BUT the other door well it looked fine but when i was polishing i noticed a few spots or pimples where i polished enough for the paint to warm up??? This appeared at the bottom as well again localised, as the paint cooled down they slowly shrunk. Water or the paint not fully cured?? either way i will now have to sand this back until its gone. More paint needed and heat, lots of heat.

Had second thoughts about the door and what i thought is water. After closer inspection and going back a few months i had rippled the skin on this door so it had filler applied and in the couple of areas where i have these defects is where the filler is. So i will wait for the paint to fully cure off before i make any further decision as to where or what i do.
And it was scuttle and windscreen surround day

Pictures don't do the shine justice as the reflection from the plastic distorts it. It pings.

Took Paddy outside to do the last of the external mopping and although not sunny the paint has a good deep shine to it.
Doing this did highlight a few issues which i managed to address. When its properly sunny more may show up but we will see.
Anyway onto the rear

No afraid not Rich, I have a rebuilt 1293 waiting in the wings including a stg 4 head. I bought this off Scott my son. However if my plans are seen through then it will be wearing a SC Components 7 Port head on injection.
I want to rip the engine down anyway to make sure there are no build issues ( Scott did buy engine as a short block but with all the other parts in boxes). The gearbox was fully overhauled by John at Guessworks with centre oil pipe mod etc. Just need some drops. No sc ones just standard helical one.
