Well, what a bummer. i had found a few areas of thin paint and a couple of runs which would have been easily sorted. However once i had him outside today in the bright light i found more areas of thin paint so 5 hours later all external panels bar the roof and front panel have been flatted back with 800 grit wet and dry.
Areas of thin paint and runs
All flatted back
And the old GT shell looking very worse for wear, nearly time for it to be weighed.

Hope the next coat goes on perfect.
Starting to question whether you are conning us all. I don't know any Mini owners with such a perfect manicure, not a spec of oil under those nails????
Maybe you should keep the thinners off your hands......

Ha you should see them now, they is all blue and stuff. Having suffered from dermatitis in the past i always wear nitrile gloves now even when welding!!! Plus i am no longer on the tools at work i tell people to get on the tools and dirty so black ink and paper cuts is about as dirty as it gets.

It would be more dignified to let the clubby shell gradually return to nature rather than be turned into Indesits - it's half way there anyway
Great work, I have been watching and admiring your attention to detail.
