Paint removal time for the roof.
The final result was not too shabby
And the rusty bits
That will be sorted tomorrow.

Looking good, what stripper did you use as I have my roof left to strip and so far have been using a hot air stripper
It was some stuff i acquired from work. Its the dogs danglies but by god it stings when you get it on your skin. It even melted my gloves.

A bit more fabrication, this time it was backing rings for the fresh air vents as the captive nuts on one side were completely missing and the other side one was missing. The rings are made from Stainless steel, with sealed anchor nuts and riveted together with Monel rivets. No rusting here.
Trialed in place
Primed and bonded in place

Its just a very easy solution Ben. The new holes in the replacement flitch were over 1/4" so far to big to weld in some 3/16th nuts. I could have faffed about but this for me was a far easier method.

Nice! Are they Dunlop D1s? They do really suit a clubman. :)
