I will be using 2k but not clear coat. I will be wearing full PPE, so air fed mask, extraction, and of course a disposable spraying overall, gloves etc.

Nope not quite yet, I have the fuel tank mount to fit and the rear seat pan stiffener strip plus some final tweaking here and there.

Yes I will be. Keeping it the way he looked before I ripped him apart.

Final tweaking of the boot lid done so it was onto the fuel tank support bracket

Marked out

IMG_7021_zps8vs6gmeq.jpg

Plug weld holes drilled then the underside painted

IMG_7026_zpsdauceaez.jpg

And a bit of paint splashed on the boot floor ready for action

IMG_7025_zpszvhh65lq.jpg

It would have been welded in but a guest arrived for some tweaking before the track day at Brands this weekend

IMG_7024_zpsyxma2zgx.jpg

It did give me the chance to knock back the welds on the bonnet that i widened but no pictures at the mo.

I think my workshop was colder than the inside of a freezer today. 5.5KW's of heating barely took the edge off.

Anyway finished off the fuel tank mount so happy with that.

and i scored these bad boys off my mate. Brand spanking new OE indicator lenses including the seals. Happy days

Yessss! I got some brand new old stock lenses too :) Lucky eBay find at the time. Shame the backing plates I have aren't in quite such good condition.

My car does not have that fuel tank fixing bracket. I hope its not essential and the tank strap is enough to secure it!

Depends on the age of your car Rich and fuel tank size.
