Yea got three copies, its like looking for hens teeth. Well happy with Stephens write up and pictures. BUT BUGGER!!! caught the wife reading it and it mentions how much i have spent on panels. She has not said anything YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea got three copies, its like looking for hens teeth. Well happy with Stephens write up and pictures. BUT BUGGER!!! caught the wife reading it and it mentions how much i have spent on panels. She has not said anything YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't like to be in your shoes when she does....

Back on the job today and it was time to sort out the l/h bonnet hinge mount. First of though it was time to remove the scuttle
Then onto the mount
Mmm not too good so out it came and in with a new piece
Welded in ready for primer and then weld the mount in
All primed up
The mount will be welded in tomorrow
In the meanwhile i treated the surface rust which gave me a bit of time to fill some holes in the r/h inner wing
Some final welding needed to finish off then happy days.

Excellent work as usual, A tip for welding the hinge bracket on if you aren't already going to do it, Bolt the hinge to them so that the holes were lined up and the right distance apart.made it a lot easier.

No need Alex, i templated off the old position first and held in place with skin pins. Same method i used on Wills Mini Special.
