Well done on the feature! Love your ideas for the car. Pictures in the mag highlight your fantastic fabrication skills, can't wait to see it finished!

Back on the job today and it was time to sort out the l/h bonnet hinge mount. First of though it was time to remove the scuttle

IMG_5033_zpsq36njvfq.jpg

Then onto the mount

IMG_5034_zpsxttzfnmf.jpg

Mmm not too good so out it came and in with a new piece

IMG_5035_zpsbrh7xhiz.jpg

Welded in ready for primer and then weld the mount in

IMG_5036_zpswmzh4kw1.jpg

All primed up

IMG_5039_zpsgas4te0t.jpg

The mount will be welded in tomorrow

In the meanwhile i treated the surface rust which gave me a bit of time to fill some holes in the r/h inner wing

IMG_5037_zps9d2c6eyf.jpg

IMG_5038_zps5lmzxlk0.jpg

IMG_5040_zpsivfb8v16.jpg

Some final welding needed to finish off then happy days.

Excellent work as usual, A tip for welding the hinge bracket on if you aren't already going to do it,  Bolt the hinge to them so that the holes were lined up and the right distance apart.made it a lot easier.

No need Alex, i templated off the old position first and held in place with skin pins. Same method i used on Wills Mini Special.
