looks brilliant mate

Cheers, i'm pleased as punch with it, will trial fit the door again tomorrow just to double double check it but nothing moved so should be golden. I hope i dont have to do this with the other side.

I thought i would get away with mine on the other side after doing more or less the same as you have just done.

i was wrong.............. O_O

Repair looks ace though

Cheers Ben,

on with the flitch repair today so basically ended up with this, panel pinned in place

IMG_4639_zpsyeipykmk.jpg

And welded in place and ground down

IMG_4641_zpszaz3jofu.jpg

The top needs a new section fabricating so will sort that out probably next week. Then that will be out of the way.

Did trial the door again and some persuasion was needed on the A post to move it fwd slightly. No point in going mad at this point in time as i need the car off the spit before i gap the doors properly. As long as its roughly in the hole then i can go from there.

Awesome work as usual Neil!

Cheers Dan,

well it was time for the outer sill but first thing i had to do was rescue the old jacking point i had fitted previously.

IMG_4647_zpsc7cx3iwy.jpg

And after a bit of cleaning up and careful positioning its now in place

IMG_4649_zpspnarpdiz.jpg

IMG_4648_zpsag1vjhqj.jpg

IMG_4650_zpsarh2eqli.jpg

More than strong enough and it will get used as it was before.

So a bit more prep was needed on the outer sill, some redundant holes needed to be filled first

IMG_4651_zpsvpbyi5ud.jpg

IMG_4653_zps6ppftdks.jpg

IMG_4654_zpski570sd2.jpg

Happy with that so a bit of epoxy primer and topcoat later

IMG_4656_zpspyq494ze.jpg

and the inner sill got some more of the same

IMG_4655_zpsiecn5mlk.jpg

Back to the workshop tomorrow as Paddy has a Photo shoot.

And in with the new sill, well sort of, tacked in place

IMG_4828_zpsl5rnacec.jpg

IMG_4830_zpsaaw4nghr.jpg

But a fly in the ointment, there floor pans do not match, had the same issue with Wills Mini Special

IMG_4829_zpspyxibwye.jpg

A job for tomorrow i feel, anyway the rest of it welded in

IMG_4831_zpsuj4thhdq.jpg

and ground down

IMG_4832_zpsgvxelr9f.jpg

IMG_4833_zpswcyhajyd.jpg

a bit of hammer and block work to do to finish it off.

Same as I did mine. I thought you overlapped your floor repairs last time?

I did on Wills Mini Special. One thing doing it for yourself, another doing it for someone else. He did get the option though. It was actually cheaper to joggle the floor rather than butt weld.

Sorted the front of the floor pan and quite happy with it

IMG_4850_zpsbpb5vx3m.jpg

IMG_4851_zpsorodwkeu.jpg

Quick splash of epoxy primer

IMG_4849_zpsca0ixvk3.jpg

Leaving the rest of the welds at the front until i have sorted the front of the floor pan. Everything will have another dose of hammer and dolly work before a skim of filler.
