Looking good Neil
Those door steps look great just about to fit mine that I had off you
Have you any more detailed pics of the fitting process just noticed that one end of the steps is a slightly thinner diameter than the other
Is this the front end ?
Cheers mate

Moving fwd literally so it was a quick trial of the door to make sure its fits which it did and then onto the A post.
First thing was to get the replacement flitch panel to line up. So after a bit of tweaking the lower hinge holes were relocated to the correct place and the top of the A panel return was sectioned to get the correct contour.
Right happy with that so onto the rusty bits, took a chunk out of the scuttle and removed the closeout just to make sure i have got the rust mapped
Then cut out the flitch section to find this
Not good and caused by this
A bloody great chunk of foam fitted at the factory. Just something else to deal with tomorrow

Today was remove the inner A post stiffener just to see what the damage was.
So out the old bits
and this was the state of the inside of the A post
Rusty as hell so without resorting to spending another £70+ it was time to brush up on my fabrication skills
So new stiffener slaved in place
And the first repair piece in place
Followed by the rest of the sections
Overall very happy with it, just a few final tweaks and cleaning up and it will be finished.

So on with the repairs, first thing to do was add some extra bracing as i will be cutting out the section where the main bracing is welded to.
Then out with the rotten section
New section cut to size
And this is the stiffener section for the dash rail
Repair section welded in place
And with the A post fully welded in, ground down and buffed up
Very pleased with it.

Cheers, i'm pleased as punch with it, will trial fit the door again tomorrow just to double double check it but nothing moved so should be golden. I hope i dont have to do this with the other side.
