Been a little while but got on the with the doorstep, so old one off

IMG_4554_zpsvbjyra8b.jpg

and new one on

IMG_4568_zpsniugrjer.jpg

bit of final fettling to do but other than that its done.

The next fly in the ointment though is the A post, its not looking too happy

IMG_4555_zpsokawln71.jpg

IMG_4556_zpsdbzntkkw.jpg

so more monies spent but while i was at it i ordered a new scuttle closeouts and a boot skin. most of its here

IMG_4567_zpsmcddg0rg.jpg

So the plan is to cut the other damage out on the flitch area then remove the A post stiffener, check to see if that is bad then repair the outer a post and nail it all back together again. But before all of that i might just weld in the quarter panel first. Its never ending. Oh and the flitch damage plus a newly found hole in the a post.

Yes they are Ben, made from 1.2mm steel and really good. Just need to form the curved ends if required. I cut mine slightly at each end to get the curve.

Are they available or are these just for you?

They look good and i expect cheaper than heritage step/posts

I can vouch for how good those door steps from Neil are. I was lucky enough to get hold of some, and just about at the point of fitting one to the drivers side. :-). . Excellent update Neil .

I might be interested in one if it can be arranged?

I need to slice a bit of the flitch off to see what the A post section is like before i decide if i need the whole a post/step or just the step
