I'm with Admiral at the moment on a Ford Ka, it'll cost me £13.90 to swap the mini (if I buy it) to the policy instead of the Ka, my insurance runs out sometime in April I think.
I'm a 20 year old male, 21 in July.
No accidents etc, I'll have my first 1 year NCB in April (hopefully!)
I ride a motorcycle too and hold a full license for that as well.
SD&P only
Low mileage a year due to me being at uni and it being stored for next winter
No mods
You get the jist. Anyway, Admiral have quoted me £530 for me (with my mum as named, £3 more to put my 20 year old g/f on, which I would) which to be honest I'm happy with compared to some of my previous years insurance (£1800 on a Punto 1.2!!!). I went to check out Footman James, as although the mini is standard I'd like to at some point do some little mods; maybe vintage bucket seats, few bits of chrome, spots, racing stripes that kinda thing and I imagine Admiral would spank me.
Footman James says on both Classic and Modern car policies the driver is "Not below the age of 25", do FJ only do insurance for the 25's and overs? And if so is there anyone similar to them I could look to for a slightly modded mini? I'd maybe consider a stage one kit in a years time but nothing more drastic than that.
Cheers,
Dan
