was just browsing minifinity when i found this...........

Lead connection order for an MPi coil pack as follows.

Looking at the coil pack from the front (thermostat end) of the engine. Cylinder 1 is nearest the water pump, cylinder 4 is at the flywheel end. The engine firing order is 1-3-4-2.

*
Bottom left on the coil pack goes to plug 1
*
Bottom right on the coil pack goes to plug 2
*
Top right on the coil pack goes to plug 3
*
Top left on the coil pack goes goes to plug 4

As the ignition on an MPi is a wasted spark system, you may find that it runs just as well with a pair of leads swapped over. The order above is the “correct” order though.

well iv bin and checked mine because i knew it was different iv got mine set the same as stated in my haynes manual which is

bottom left - plug 1
top left - plug 2
top right - plug 3
bottom right - plug 4

is this correct or not? i dont want to change them and find that it damages something
any ideas?????

i might not be right but :dontgetit: the mpi uses a wasted spark system so wont make a difference as you get 2 sparks on the cycle :smartass:
