cat owners are disrespectful :D

Not all cat owners are disrespectful. We have dogs and a cat, however our cat does live indoors. It's a hard choice for cat owners to make as cats are very independent animals and confining them doesn't seem fair, but I also know of cats that have been killed with anti-freeze, so it was an easy choice for me.

My opinion is, if the owner is not willing to take responsibility for any damages caused by their cat, then put whatever you like in the path of said cat. You can't be prosecuted if the cat steps on something on your property (unless it can be proved to be a deliberate trap).

I'm not condoning animal cruelty here, just if the cat comes home with grease all over it paws, at least you've attempted to reason with the owner first.

personally i would straight up kill them, if somebody wishes to own one then they should keep control of it. if its causing damage then so would i.

same as if a person touched my car to be honest.

i have a bosc monitor that can grow upto about 8 ft long, that is essentially a wild animal house trained like a cat. im sure people would get annoyed if i let him out on a night time.

my dad saw a black cat out in the garden once while bleaching something, it left the garden black and white as it jumped over the fence, wouldve probably suprised the owners when it got back

Nice attitude, thats gonna get you a long way.

Wow never knew how many cat haters there are

Lion poo is supposed to work well

:D

Big dog would sort it out.

They will only come back more and tease the dog

"Yes this is quite correct, legally cats are not classified as animals (unlike dogs, pigs, goats, sheep, cattle, asses and mules) They are classified as vermin, like rats and pigeons are, therefore you cannot actually legally own them or be responsible for them."

They're not classed as vermin :-

im not sure if it is true but on telly (i think it was telly) i heard that apparently if you fill empty coke bottles with water and place them in your garden that keeps them out? i cant see how tho. i know they hate water but like how the hell would that scare them off :P

I've heard that, something with them not liking the reflections. I've heard of people putting a few CDs around aswell. No idea if it worked.

That's birds ;D

If you had your own cat they wouldn't come into your garden, but by the sounds of it, you don't like cats.

I have 2 and other cats still come in

anti freeze will kill the cat and YOU will be prosecuted.

not if you leave it in a dish on your property next to the mini becxause he was just about to fill the anti freeze up on his mini its not his fault the cat drank some is it?

It would be classed as a enviromental hazzard, you probably wont get caught but seriusly it's WRONG.

drugs would only work if they cannot prove you supplied them.........

Nice, real nice.

I blame it on your upbringing

and my cats are about 1 foot long, not 8 foot a cat and a lizzard are totally differnt, maybe the lizzard wouldn't cause much damage but it would most likely not come back + it wouldn't live long so it's not like you would be able to let it out anyway.

There are no birds left, the cats killed them all, ate them and crapped them out in my garden... :D

in fairness i have poultry and keep them confined within a house and run so they don't fly over fences and distroy my neighbours gardens and flowers because i know what damage they can do.... WHY CAN'T SOME CAT OWNERS KEEP THEIR CATS IN A SIMILAR ENVOIRNMENT??

if you cannot train them then they are virtualy wild and should not be kept as pets and instead hunted like rabbits/foxes/deer etc etc

on the contrary to like to hear my keyboard keys any thing that causes discomfort within the boundaries of your own land is imo classed as vermin and should be disposed of by any means of your choice.... my method is illegal and not a sujestion but it works for me...... anyways if the said cat owners thought anything of their cats then the wouldn't let them out....

I'd second that. We used to get two cats in the garden..one nice and one nasty bit of work. It took a bit of effort and stealth but after two soakings, the b*****d cat leaves us and the nice cat alone.

Just means you have to have the water gun ready and primed at all times.

I don't honestly know where to start with what you've said.....

Can I suggest you read it back and then just have a little think about what a ridiculous statement that is...

You keep them in runs because if they flew off, they would never come back! Cats don't destroy things, well atleast my cats don't, I let them out because it's not fair to keep them in, they're happy animals (they wouldn't come back if they wasn't)

My cats dont, one of them is partly Siamese, and she knows only to destroy the dedicated scratching post... which gives me an idea, maybe buy your neighbours a scratching post for the cats, haha

Oh and my other cat is a persian, so he just sits about and looks gorgeous lol

This sort of attitude is the reason I don't let my cat out. Cats should not be "disposed" of and they are are not vermin.

Also cats CAN be trained, there are not wild. Unlike a dog though, there is nobody to enforce any kind of training when they are out by themselves.

True but I wouldn't keep them in runs,or if I had a flat or lived in a city I wouldn't let them out.
