Those two pictures are of the British Vita Racing Teams 'Vita-Min' racing minis. These are what Corgi modelled their 1970s Corgi Juniors Vita-Min onRacing Mini Sprints
Here's a few more of the one in the bottom picture. Afraid they are not brilliant quality but, you get the idea I just love the British Vita 'thing'.

Has anyone got a pic of a racing 70's mini that was in minworld letters years back. It was deseamed, running an elf nose but badged as a MG. Think it was running a 999cc screamer (970 +20)
The late Wally Hall's MG Mini racer in 1968. It was apparently a Cooper S shell rebulit with parts from BMC Competitions Department at Abingdon and a modified MG 1100 grille. You can read Wally's article about it here:

Interesting article, but he says about a 998 revving to 11,000?!

Fantastic article indeed but I think it's definitely not a 998 but a bored out 970S to 999 and called a "999S".Interesting article, but he says about a 998 revving to 11,000?!

970S are screamer and this one was especially tuned it seems ...

This topic is fantastic ! Really !Those two pictures are of the British Vita Racing Teams 'Vita-Min' racing minis. These are what Corgi modelled their 1970s Corgi Juniors Vita-Min on
And informative ; I have had this toy for a long time but I didn't know it was scaled down from a existing car !
By the way, there are two photos of a Vita Mini (but not of Minisprint style) in the book "Mighty Minis". I wonder if it's an evolution of the same car of different cars ...
