Blimey those works team transporters have changed a bit over the years.! Are those 12 inch minilites on that car ?

Yes, the BL Works Team and their rivals in the bright yellow and black Britax-Cooper-Downton Team were using 12 inch Minilites on their race Minis in 1969, which were also eight-port, fuel injected with limited slip diffs.

Apparently the vertical supports were telescopic with internal springs and the supports were graduated for the load on the wing to see what download was created.

In that era F1 was also experimenting with high level wings for down force but after accidents involving the sudden loss of down force when the fragile wings or supports broke they were banned and evolved into what we see on todays race cars.
