All sorted yeah....

Well.....

Umm.... Nearly.

Just want to.sort a roll cage, respray, rewire the dash, sort suspension, remap.......

But it's "OK" to go as it is. Just not quite as I want it.

Ahh so at least your busy too then!
Iv got a few bits on mine , the girlfreinds A series to do which is a pain maybe another mini shell on the way that i want to start after the ring.No idea where im going with that yet engine wise, maybe after the ring and a few chats i might have a few ideas!
ohhh and my Dads new t2 should keep me busy! He needs help fitting a cigarette lighter bless him! I was like ''Dad perhaps we should sort the holes in the floor before worrying about lighting your roll-ups!''

Hi guys, im still lurking around!

Took the car for a rolling road shoot-out for miniworld on Sunday at Southam.

The car made 120bhp at the wheels which i more than happy with!
It still needs tuning but since fitting the fast road cam it has brought the overfuelling down quite alot but Colin says that its not uncommon to be able to get 140bhp from this set-up:)

I think thats not bad at all considering they run 100bhp standard at the flywheel!
Still have more to come from the carb tuning and could squeeze some more from a better cylinder head but at the minute it will do me just fine!

Unsure on torque figures as i completely forgot so well have to see when the mag goes to print!

One thing he did mention and you could clearly see was that the front wheels had that much negative camber, less than half of each tyre had contact with the rollers and the same goes for when its on the road so the iphone app i used for camber must be rubbish!!!!

I will sort this out at the weekend but they also tweaked my timing and it runs great! such good fun to drive!

Anyway heres a vid and a few pics

Lovely mini Ben, finished very nicely. Not usualyl a fan of minis with stickers on in particular but this really is one that stands out.

The only thing I would do is put a carbon front bumper on as I personally don't like mini's without their bumpers. Still very nice though.

Cheers
Chris

Wow what can i say, Thank you all for the recent comments, its great to come back and see feedback left.
Weve made it to 5 shows/events so far...

Bingley ...just ....although it should of been on show indoors but was too late after the morning breakdown!
Ramp and wrench open day
Central minis miniworld rolling road shootout...2nd place
Brooklands
Malvern

Brooklands the car received some great feedback although the 110 mile trip meant the car wasnt gleaming! Burnard let me on the SMOC club stand which was great as when i originally got there i was chucked well out of the way!

Malvern was even better, managed to catch up with a few faces and tmf'ers, kermit was nice and clean from my gf's handywork:) but sporting a super bold tyre!
Managed to pick-up 1st place for the custom/modified class which id never had thought id won or even entered to be honest!
Picking up that has just given me the addiction for more!

so what now, Kermits currently off the road after cracking the rear alloy on a pothole, completly destroyed the alloy so i have a week to get a new one and have it powdercoated in time for the pride of longbridge and Miniworld shoot!
Floors need re-painting inside after my brake fluid episode on the masters and my pedal box needs tweaking
alternator needs another bracket for piece of mind
passenger doorbar needs making
need some new front coilovers to match the rear
bigger fuel tank
and a few bits and bobs!

Iv got the gfs mini to finish, a new mini project in the garage and more plans for kermit for next years shows so keep checking back!

Ben

Im aiming to do most of the shows this year so please catch up with me and have a chat,
