Looked inside and my reg mark was chalked in on the floor where it should of been but oh well theres plenty more shows .
I was up at 6am to sort out a few niggles that had happened the night before, the big one being the exhaust that i managed to rip clean off at my parents house!
Also a snapped throttle cable!
So i had an hour to get to bingley with the satnav saying 50 minutes so we set off sitting comfortably on the motorway full pelt 5th gear(max speed limit)
4 gallon tank brimming! 40-50 miles later fuel alarm pops up so i thought best pop a fiver in... fiver goes in, sat in car and it wouldnt turn over, push start button completly dead! So i start peeing about with wiring an all sorts and realise that i could just start it the old fashioned way, bingo! Back on the road 5 minutes late but still hope to get in! Then we hit the traffic! Im peed off my misses is cold and peed off, but still after everything that was thrown at me that weekend we made it into the car park and parked up and still had a good day. Only when walking around a few of the stalls and seeing a relay in a spares box it hit me! when i did my electrics the starter relay was a bit loose and on my list of things to do was zip tie it up which obviously i didnt, so back to the car, and yup relay had fell out! dammm!
Misses and i spent out we went back to the car for lunch and the car was mobbed! i had to try and shove my cherry bakewell down inbetween chatting to people about the car! it was great that even in the carpark it was getting some attention! Nice to bump into a few faces to, we had a really great day out still :)
so the exhaust is done but still needs some work to get it higher
cambers now set using my iphone app which is great, it handles perfect now and still havnt had corner weights done
new willwood clutch master is fitted and working great so i can now repaint the floors after brake fluid taking up most of the paint!
Still got the rolling road to do but im sorting all the niggly bits out first!
Anddddddddd the weigh in.....
570kg driverless and with a full tank of fuel :)
chuffed with that, a set of force racing wheels would help bring it down but to be honest just getting it the 500s was what i wanted even if its high 500s!
cheers guys!

What app is this? and is it actually accurate enough for setting up camber?

The iphone app is iAlign and its about £2, recommended to me by one of the 16v sprint boys. Theres some free ones on there but this one seems alot more user freindly and simple. Its nothing like a professional set-up im sure but i think i have it set up pretty damm close to what it should be and it was doing ringroads for fun yesterday whereas when i first put it on the road it felt to skittish and unpredictable!
Anyhow its a sunny day, on nights but got a few hours to go and give him a deserved clean, as usual thanks for popping back guys, comments are appreciated :)

I'll give that a go mate :)
Was going to ask, I've noticed when you spray you've only sprayed like a quarter of the car at a time and was wondering if it looks the same as the rest of the car? I've recently had a respray so don't want to do the whole car just to repair a few bits.
Also what's it like with this Vaux lump in? do you feel it needs a lower final drive for the smaller wheels and does it still handle like a mini or is it front heavy or whatever?
sorry for all the questions but I feel I've found a new fave mini :)

thanks for the kind comments everyone,
James spraying it this way worked fine for me, just gave each panel the same or similar layers of paint, my door is slightly different because i used a darker primer but because of the stickers its not too noticeable.i found it alot easier to concentrate on one panel at a time especially with my dinky compressor!
The vaux lump is brilliant! the best thing ive ever done, well worth all of the lost sleep. Easy to tame once you get used to it but i want more now! plently of mods to get some more bhp out of it but im using it as my daily at the minute which it was never really meant to be so having the balance between speed and mpg has to also be considered rather than all out power! plus having 5th gear is great!
I quite like the gearbox, i originally had a close ratio f13 5 speed but never got round to testing it so it currently has a wide ratio f13 and 1st is quite usuable! Its short dont get me wrong but getting you off the line it copes quite well. Then top speed i have no idea, its seen just over 100mph now (private roads

Handling - now its set up as good as ''i'' can get it it handles exactly if not better how it did with the A, but id never ran neg camber before and now i am which makes it more fun on roundabouts.
please ask as many questions as you like, Not saying i know the answers to everything but i know this car inside out

Well.....
Umm.... Nearly.

Just want to.sort a roll cage, respray, rewire the dash, sort suspension, remap.......
But it's "OK" to go as it is. Just not quite as I want it.
