She's a sportspack so srewing into the arch is a possibility, or I was going to buy these, but insert an extra bolt to act as a locking bolt if you know what I mean.

Normally they're riveted on, those clamps are a bit more forgiving should you catter them on a kerb or elsewhere.

That's what I thought, might be at a greater risk of them falling off, but are less likely to rip the arches off.

I really would think twice before buying the mud flaps in the first place if I were you, I've had them fitted to a number of cars over the years and they act as terrible dirt, moisture & rust traps, which really is the last thing you need on a classic mini! If you are still set on buying them though then rivet them in place, being sure to treat and paint any drilled/exposed bare metal properly before fitting. Also make sure that you get a pressure washer in and around the mounting points regularly, to wash away any accumulation of dirt that will atrract mositure and cause corrosion.
Yeah, that's why I've held off fitting them for a while. She's only really used in the summer, when I'm back from uni. Its just to stop stones, I live up a bad farm drive.
The clamps only hold onto the fiberglass arches. So no metal would be exposed, and they'd rarely get wet. Aesthetics really.
