day 2 of 4 of the big push

today after lookin at the quarter panel a bit closer it was plan to see it had a very bad repair in the past, so i started to sand all the old filler out as you can see in the pics to find the quarter all smashed in , after hammering it a lot straghter it needed alot less filler this time round. it taken me a good few hours to refill and get the door gaps better ( have a look at the pics and tell me what you think ) .

i just had time at the end of the day to get the new 2k primer on all the repairs and on the boot so 2moza i can flat it all down and finnish it off in 800 wet and dry , so hoping to start the under side next .

day 3of 4 of the big push

well this morning i flated the primer down on the quarter panel and it looks good well happy with me self (ha ha).

then got the car on its side to start the underside i had the grind down all the welds and remove sum rust on bits i forgot to primer , and started with the 1st mix of filler , after alot of flatting down and 2 skims later the boot floor finnished and prime up just got plats to put on the rear valance and the 2nd skim to flat down on the front floor pan , then all being well get all the underside in primer and stone chip

( its slowly getting there now )

it's only 1 more day, but they can learn what real body-work is all about,rear the metal and massage it into the right shape,......you are on a roll, you didn't think you would do this 5 month ago, did you!!!

well no your right ive not under taken a project this big be for , but i must say i do love evey min i get on it . the fella how owns the car says we are mad me for doin it and him for puting up the money

day 4 of 4 of the big push

well is the last day of the push before xmas , my boss goes away the end of november for 3 week so i dont think i will get much time on the mini now this is way i had 4 days off work to do as much work on the car as i can and iam f*^ked lol.

started the day finnishing off the filler work to the front floor pans then made up the two picses that go the back of the rear wheel archs with a templat 1st then cut the steel and welded them in but forgot to take end pic sorry ( will do that soon )

2nd primed all the underside sealed it all and a lamping of stone chip all over.

bounes day

well had a little bit of a bounes day yesterday started on the inside of the boot floor putting filler in that , not finnished yet but looks miles better then it did .

but all good things come to an end so put the car away on my mates unit for the winter , but he sed give him a few weeks to make sum more space and i can do the car there ( happy days )

iam looking for a full back panel for the mini so if you fellas can tell were to get one from as the place i had all my panels from don't do that bit ( why )
