ok here we go and i hope this help someone lol, got the new roof today but not cut the way i asked them to . i asked for 6 to 8 inch left on all 6 post's and it's only bin cut at 5 inch all round , so it made the job a little harder but i can work with it .

so i started preping the new roof and what iam going to do is by cutting out the inside of the a and b post's i can offset all the weld's and will look alot better when it's put on and with alot less weld's and it will still be strong . after cutting out the inside off the a post's iam keeping the inside corners and will put them back in later. and what iam going to do is keep all the inside post's of the car in one peace and weld them back into the new roof frame and then cut the post's on the outside by 4and a half inch so thay over lap by half an inch and weld it back up .

here sum pics as started today .

blue-print is good, but most mini's are slightly different from each other, compare blue-print measurements with exsisting measurment on the car.

Some really good work going on here Street-Tweaks.

What sort of filler do you use and paper to sand it down just out of interest?

man what a day lol.

with the roof cut off now and the all the post preped up for the new roof to go on here's sum pics of my work day.

cut the out side of the a and b post's but left the inside's in one peace so thay can be welded back to the inside of the roof frame so that way all the weld's will be offset by 5 inch from inside to outside and iam over laping the outside frame by a quarter of an inch so i can allso drill 4mm hole's and plug weld the overlap to ( just to be on the safe side ) as it is a roof after all.

The last pic is just a test fit not bad at all for a 1st go but more tweaking 2moza before welding .
