as i said i forgot my phone to take pics as i was doin the job , but here a few pics welded in and the 1st bit of filler over the welds sorry about the pics as the mini was in the unit out of the way

Did you weld from the outside only??

obviously it is strong now, just though about it when I did it, firstly I tacked it on the front, then seamed it on the inside, then a thin seam on the outside (nice smooth penitration) and sand it flash/back with the rest, if you have spotwelded it on the inside don't worry, all is good. Just a different way and finish.

cool i had about a 10mm overlap on the inside thats y i needed you to email me your pics so i can see if i had done it the same way you did with the overlap whitch i think you did by the looks of your pics .

your welding result looks good, a bit of filling and flatting and all will be fab, you came a long way within a year for sure

not for to now just the back panel to finnish and the roof then strats the paint job ( very happy days )

well the engine gone away now for rebuild so shud be back in a week or so , then the seat are goin away to .
