well been waitin for parts for 5 days now and when thay come no arms bow how

so havein the old ones redone , so send them away for soda blasting will post pics when thay come back,

hi all got an hour here and there over the last few days to get sum of the bits painted for the rear subby .

1 striped the 4 brakets down sprayed them black and the bolt heads silver and put back together.

2 cleaned the brack pipes and sprayed them silver.

3 need to clean or replace the nuts and bolts

4 still waiting for them arms to come back from the soda blasters , then i can paint them to

will put pics up soon just need a bit more time on my hand 1st lol

ha funny you say that sent the wife up to screwfix by my work 2day , for her to find out its the head office and they don't have a shop

she be well happy then,............no more favours there........I am still doing a lot of electolyting all good, the full handbrake cables and all in a bucket, comes out new. by the way The clock was £50 from minispares.

yep she was mad lol , by the way what is this electolyting and how does it work ?

Bucket water( 2 gallon) 2 tablespoon washing soda (tesco) 12V battery charger,.. put piece of waste steel in water with + crocodile clip from charger on it above the water level(do not submerge the +clip!!!!), put your to be cleaned rusty piece in the water with the -crocodole clip on it (submerge the - clip is fine). switch on charger and leave for however long it takes to get the rust off from 1 hour to 24 and more sometimes, metal will look black when you take it out then use a ny;lon hard little brush to wash of the muck and all is good. if result is not good enough put back in again,.... check You tube for "electolyte rust removal"

<sup>hi all long time no see just a little update for now started work satday on the n/s door cut off the old skin but the bottom of this door will need alot more work as the rust is bad very bad so thinking of geting a new or better door for the door .

the front subby has need striped down now and still waiting for the rear subby to be fitted back up .

hope to get sum pics up soon , but i do need to get a move on now as i am hopein to get it sprayed by the summer .</sup>

got the wheels back for the powdercoaters now to and also had the front subby painted at the some time just need to put some clear coat over it thow to give it the same shine as the back one

i will need to find that out m8 as he sent them off the just after xmas and had the front subby painted at the same time all for £100 , as for the door i think we will be looking out for a new one at the show sunday , the only thing left for that door is a dustpan and brush lol

nah, that door is mint, just a bit cutting and,grinding and weldin, it's do-able, then again if you find a bargain on sunday go 4 it.

hi all well its a long time from me workin on the mini so iam thinking about a long weekend off and doin the 4 day big push part 2 , in a week or 2 .

last weekend at the show picked up a lot better n/s door for 70 quid and on order a full back panel for 100 quid , so watch this space
